What Guests Are Saying
Nevada Beach Campground is highly praised for its stunning location near Lake Tahoe, clean facilities, and friendly staff, particularly campground hosts Adam and Janet. Campers enjoy the beautiful combination of sandy beaches and pine forests, as well as the peaceful atmosphere, especially during the shoulder season. While reservations can be challenging to secure and some amenities, like restrooms, need improvement, the overall experience is characterized by cleanliness and a welcoming environment, making it a favorite for many.

My favorite campground, so beautiful, and the critical part for me is the dog beach and trails behind the campground. That’s really why I camp here, because the dog always comes along!

Camp host Michelle and Rick were outstanding. Only issue we have with the campground is the lack of showers. Was too chilly to jump in the lake.

I was thrilled to arrive at this lovely campground with big sites. However, there was no sleeping with earplugs as not too far away is a 4-way stop light. All night you hear the trucks and motorcycles accelerate from the light. Then early in the morning, there was a collision at the stoplight with many emergency vehicles arriving on site. All very noisy. I left at 7 am due to no sleep, my phone froze early the prior evening so I could not call to cancel, I left a note at the office to cancel the days. The host did not turn the paper over and so the refund was not made. When I called she said to call recreation.gov which I did. When they sent the form for the refund the campground would not issue a refund. The Host told me I should have used someone else's phone (at 7 am) or knocked on their door. Wish I would have woke them up. The experience with the Host was not pleasant.

The campground is very clean and well maintained. Very easy access to the beach. The only problem was the amount of smoke from the Caldor fire. I also spoke with some of the other campers that were staying longer, and they informed me that they were never notified of the forest closure, and that they would have to evacuate.
The office knew about the closure at least two days prior and did not notify campers until the day of evacuation. I felt that the camp hosts should've notified people as soon as they found out, since they drove by every site, every day to check on the occupied dates and new arrivals. I feel as though they didn't want any confrontation.
Other than that, I will definitely be booking again next year.
