Great location, close to hiking and biking trails, and the lake, of course. My site was in the middle of it, no noise heard from the road. I checked in a bit late, but hosts left necessary info at the entrance. Restrooms are clean, looks like they were renovated recently. Grocery shopping is close too, in case one needs something. This was my first stay there, will likely stay again in the future.
The site itself has plenty of space, but it is on the slope, only has level space for two tents. Parking space is generous.

The actual lake front access of this State Park is not large. But it's in a prime location. Pleasant to watch the moon or sun rise over the distant shore. I also launched my kayak from this little gravel beach to cruise the section of the West Shore which is primarily private. Parking spots are few, but it's an easy walk across the street (Hwy 89) from the campground. The sites I saw were spacious and shaded by huge (Sequoia?) trees. Camp host was friendly and helpful.

Pros: Clean, large campground. Right across from Lake Tahoe with access to a beautiful small public beach. The camp hosts were fantastic!
Cons: Surrounded by a neighborhood on three sides. Felt like youβre camping in their backyards (because you are).
I would book a site again due to the proximity to the lake.

Wonderful hosts! The campground is well-maintained, well-run, and very close to the lake. The hosts really go the extra mile to help each visitor have a good experience.

Awesome hosts. Close to water.
Bathroom tissue papers keeps falling out in the toilet. Complained, but was told the provider of the tools have not given them enough budget to get new tissue holders. Very sad !

Pros
1. Fantastic location.
2. Fairly spacious camp site.
Cons
1. No shower.
2. Restroom is kinda old (not dirty).
Pros?Cons?
There are real bears!!! I saw an adult bear right in front of me at night time. It just walked away. And I heard people yelling βBear!β throughout the night. Read the instruction about bears carefully and leave no food around you!!

Great campground, with attentive hosts! Delivered our firewood right to our site, very helpful but also unobtrusive.
Beach access is a short walk, very small section of beach but we were able to find a spot for our blankets/towels and enjoy ourselves and the water. Will definitely come here again!
