This was our second time staying here. Clean campsites, nice hosts and close walking distance to the beach of Lake Tahoe.

It was all good except the $10 fee for the RV dump. Tenter and RVers pay the same for the reservation but RVers don’t use the bathroom yet they need to pay extra to dump.

The campground is excellent and the hosts are fantastic. Unfortunately, there were some noisy and disrespectful campers who violated the noise rules on one night. That is not the fault of the campground.

The park is great! It’s close to a small beach (just across the highway). We found our fellow campers to be respectful and generally quiet.
My only advice is mind the significant potholes in the exit lane. There’s really no way to avoid them without intruding into the entrance lane.

Ahhh we loved this campground! Perfectly nestled amongst the trees.. right across the road was a cute little neighborhood perfect for walks, an amazing deli/market (!!) that had everything you could need and a beautiful little beach spot perfect for taking a dip. Would come back 100%

Our campaign was fantastic. Not too packed, facilities were clean. The hosts were amazingly friendly. Only downside: although there was a strict fire ban, people started making campfires in the evening.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Maintenance duties were performed well. They even cleaned each campsite before occupancy. I have never seen that before. I am a retired Federal Park Ranger and give the staff an A+.
My only concern is that this year this campground had a problem bear’s situation. Campers need to take this seriously. There is a very good chance one will visit your site . During our stay in mid July you could hear them banging on numerous food lockers late at night looking for an unlocked one. car horns going off. Food being swiped off a picnic table with people nearby. They seemed to have lost fear of humans. Very bad for them and hopefully not you !
There is also a no campfire / charcoal fire ban in the Tahoe Basin.
Sunnyside restaurant is swamped, (even lunch) as well as Spoons Take out food ( order early).
The whole area is very busy and reg gas was near $5 per gal in Tahoe city.
