I have always found the national park hosts are the best! William Kent was no exception. Loved the location.

Our campsite was pretty level with water and bathrooms near by. Another bonus is that this camp ground has a Dump Site which is a huge bonus since we stayed for two weeks!
The campsite Staff is the best! Bathrooms kept clean and they even chase the Bears away. Yes, there are bears so my advice is keep food stowed away, children close by and dogs secure too. This year 2021 was very dry so no wood fires or charcoal BBQ’s.
Easy walk to civilization and the lake. Definitely go to Sunnyside Restaurant/Bar and enjoy all the people watching and food! If you like dessert try the Hula pie with friends, its a tasty ice cream pie and it’s huge!
I have to again say that the campsite host Lori, Scott, Judy and Ed are amazing and they are one reason I’ll return!!!
Cheers and happy camping

I was a little worried about the reviews, but I throughly enjoyed this campground. The hosts were very nice and helpful. I asked to changed my site and they accomodated me. It is in a great location and right across from a rocky beach. We had a bear walk through the campground one night. If you follow the bear guidelines you should not have any issue with the visitor. I would stay again at this campground.

Personally think the location is perfect. Tahoe City only a few miles away which has everything you need but still small quaint town. Campground has its own little beach, which is great fun for kids. Bathrooms super clean. Hosts super nice and helpful. Will definitely come back here again!

Wonderfully helpful hosts, great restaurants nearby. Kayaks for rent across the street. Beautiful bike paths nearby as well. Clean bathrooms and neat sites.

The campground hosts were outstanding. Spoke to Judy several times and watched her and her husband clean each campsite and bathrooms. Plenty of trees for shade. Loved that the beach was walking distance. The dump station is in a difficult location for others to pass while someone is dumping. Campsite is a little too close to homes. Had a great time and plan to return. Please thank the hosts for their knowledge and kindness.
