We got spot 45,46 and 47 all the spot were big and spacious lots of room for more than just three tents lots of trees if you don’t like the sun but enough open air to see the start and get some sun in the morning, would def get this spot again if you wish to explore the north of Lake Tahoe don’t get it if your trying to stay near emerald bay or South Lake Tahoe it’s around 45 mins or farther

Stayed for just one night. The host is very nice ! Took a star off because it’s next to the boat storage lot and woke up to the metal banging sounds in the morning. It sounded frightful

Camped here several times. Last trip in August 2020 had a Momma bear and her two cubs come into camp. Only problem with this was a young couple didn't latch their bear locker correctly so the mom got into it and was eating very loudly. The guy tried to scare her off by repeatedly honking his horn most of the night. Rangers did come and camp hosts but failed to remedy the situation. Babies were up in the tree crying for a long time.
Since I was in a tent close by and a woman all alone this was very upsetting for me. I will be renting a yurt next time I camp there. Still love the place and love all the wildlife it has to offer.

It’s a nice campground, but (like everything) it can get crowded on weekends. Try for during the week if you’re not looking for neighbors. The sites are well-maintained and (during the Era of COVID) cleaned and sanitized after guests leave — a nice touch. Keep an eye out for the wildlife at night and store your shit properly; you should use the bear bins...

Grounds were beautiful and clean. Running water and restrooms were clean. No showers. We had a bear visit and is very important to use lockers.

Most of the campsites are located directly behind people's backyards. You kinda lose the feeling that you are camping in the woods when the owners are having a party on thier deck...
