What Guests Are Saying
Azalea Campground offers a beautiful natural setting with ample shaded and spacious sites, making it ideal for families and groups. Many campers enjoyed the proximity to trails, visitor centers, and stunning views of the surrounding giant sequoias. While some noted issues with bathroom cleanliness and site proximity, the overall experience was positive, with a strong desire to return for the peaceful atmosphere and convenient location between Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks.

Azalea Campground is well positioned near some of the most popular sites and Grant Grove Village. This is a popular campground with a lot of sites located within relatively close proximity to each other. However, we found campers to be mellow and respectful of each other's space. The camp hosts are active and engaged with ensuring camp rules are enforced. They were seen walking the campground several times during our 3-day stay, and were helpful with assistance and suggestions without being intrusive.

Scenic campground with plenty of shade. No showers but clean flush bathrooms. We stayed on a Friday night and it was looking like our stay might be ruined by some inconsiderate noisy neighbours who had come to party for the weekend, but the ranger drove around at about 10pm and closed them down - thank you ranger, you made our stay!

LOVED this campsite. We could walk to General Grant from the campground. There were many sites, but we didn't feel on top of other campers. The view from our site was beautiful and the kids had a great time running around and playing on the ample sized spot.

Quiet stay on Azalea. Lower loops were closed due to flooding risk. Restrooms basic but clean. Pad was not level

This loop of the campground has little shade, but it was fine given how cool the temperatures were. The campground was quiet and peaceful, but that may have been due to the chilly weather. This particular site is level enough to be good for RV's with couple of blocks. The site is directly on the path from the Grant Grove visitors area to the General Grant tree. The good news is that the visitors area is within easy walking distance. The bad news is that the site is not private.
