Great campground just outside Sequoia. A fair amount of road noise during the day, that subsides at night. Very interesting as the lake floods in the spring and slowly lowers during growing season. The number of sites varys with the water lever. We were there in October so much of park was blocked off. Facilities are well maintained. Sites fairly flat. Water tasted good. A great alternative to overpriced commercial facilities in the area.

Our second year in a row spending Thanksgiving at Horse Creek. It is a fantastic fall campground. Empty and quiet. The showers get hot, and the toilets flush. Not much more you could ask for.
Have also spent time camping here in the summer. Although a bit busier, it is still one of the quietest and empty campgrounds you can find this close to the gates of the Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks.

We had a great experience with the Horse Creek campsite. Check in was no problem at all and we easily found our space. The campground and facilities were clean and very well cared for and the location in relation to Sequoia National Park is pretty close to perfect. I would not hesitate to use this campsite again in the future.

Camp Host Was A Joke. We made reservation 2 weeks ahead. When we got to our spot a family of homeless druggies had it. Went to camp host she just said I will give you another spot. I'm 68 yrs old and like our spot because of the restrooms being close. The host then called the people in charge. She came down and said the same thing the camp host said, but she said we could have our original spot for nothing the next time we came. She said she would be back with a paper stating what she said she would do. Never Saw her again. That homeless family and their 2 kids moved to 2 other location while we were there. The host said they would move from one campground to another in the area. They would remove the reservation card and throw it in the trash.

Great campground in the foothills of the Sierras/only an hour drive from Sequoia NP. The two nights we spent there in late August/early September were beautiful - 70 degrees in the evening and beautiful stars in the sky. This is a great spot for exploring SEKI NPs!
