Great campground in the foothills of the Sierras/only an hour drive from Sequoia NP. The two nights we spent there in late August/early September were beautiful - 70 degrees in the evening and beautiful stars in the sky. This is a great spot for exploring SEKI NPs!

people in the office were very nice... one negative was i had to move camp because they over booked my spot. Place was clean and overall it was a good experience.

When we got there, we quickly noticed that the site we had reserved was completely under water. We went back to the office where two amazingly nice men greeted us and found a new site for us to stay. Apparently this happens often in spring, as the snow from the mountains melts. We ended up being able to swim in the lake (very refreshing on hot summer days!) and walk on the street under water which was pretty cool. The reason I didn't give 5 stars is that the campground is completely open which doesn't give you any privacy. With no trees to block the sounds, you'll hear every little noise at night as though it was right next to your tent. We unfortunately had drunk men talking all night and refusing to whisper so we didn't get to sleep at all. That being said, you can disrespectful people anywhere, so I still recommend this campground.

Our area was flooded when we arrived but the host was very kind and helped us find different sites. It was hot and sweaty during the period we rented which was in the end of July 2019 but still had an awesome time!
