The campground was fantastic located directly in the nature. Trails start directly from there. Wild animaly (deers, etc... ) came directly to the campground. Only few sites guarantee private character.

Most of the water faucets in this campground either don’t work or have high levels of rust. The bathrooms are filthy, and half of the stalls are closed due to plumbing problems. Meanwhile, at the General Sherman tree bus stop the bathroom odor is so bad it detracts from your experience.

Great campground when visiting Sequoia, super accessible and close to showers, toilets and a great store with hot food. The campground was full and the spaces were closer together than other campgrounds we’ve visited but it's clean and friendly and a great spot to do lots of trails and adventuring!

I really wouldnt change anything about my experience here. I feel that the NPS and all of the rangers, staff and volunteers do such a tremendous job and should be given raises, more resources, recognition, and every opportunity to preserve, promote, and protect our public lands. What a wonderful experience.

Site 100 is absolutely lovely right by the water. We stayed here for a week and didn't want to leave.

Site 107 is good. One neighbor to the right. After forest. Nice view of river and mountains. We saw a bear 20 yards away.
Can hear river in the night. Not a big spot. Two small tents might/ can fit there. Spigot next to parking. 10 yards from car. Restrooms far away.
Is not too private.
I would stay here again.

Lovely campground, perfectly situated and incredibly tranquil. Showers had to pay for, and unfortunately were very unclean. Save for the showers, would have been five stars!

The camping at Lodgepole Campground is truly magical. Our primitive site was hike-in from our parking space, perched on the rocky slope. We enjoyed the river on one side and the towering trees all around with the dark sky not obscured by light pollution. The sites were rather close in proximity to each other, so much that I could hear the tent neighbour snoring as though he were in bed beside me! I appreciated the running cold water in the restrooms but it would have been nice to have some small faint solar lighting inside to see better while doing one's business. Overall, the location of the campground was conveniently located near the main hiking trails and supplied a nice market, cafeteria, laundry and showers.

Dangerous Rivers! Many drowning victims were playing near rivers. Rivers present a far greater danger than lakes or pools. Surfaces may look calm, but strong currents often run below. Be cautious walking near rivers as rocks can be slippery. Getting out of a cold, swift river is often impossible.
