Very good camping grounds. The washrooms are clean. Visitor center is 1 mile away. Public showers and cafe are available in the visitor center. Ample space for parking one SUV sized car in the camp. Additional parkings are also available. Multiple trails start from the camp grounds. Shout-out to the rangers and support staff.

Great campsite. Close enough to hear the river running at night. Bathrooms lack power.

I absolutely loved the campground and nearly everything about it.
Every single bathroom in the park, however, were absolutely disgusting.

Larger campgorund, but very good distance between most campsites, and very quiet in the evening, had 1 bear wander through, escorted away by park ranger. Nice small river runs through campground. Nice to have showers, market (well stocked) and visitor center right there. Site 182 parking very evel for RV/Camper, easy to pull in or back in, plenty of room to maneuver, also large site with level larger tent area and no immediate neighbors. SIte 13 sits nicely above other sites, no close neighbors and very convenient to bathroom/showers, Site 13 very level driveway and easy back in.

Love the infrastructure there (shower available nearby even!) and the proximity to the trails. We had a bit of a central campsite with a less natural feeling, tho the upper loop looked excellent!

Great spot on the outer loop of lower Lodgepole. You share the bathroom with a lot of sites, but it was clean. It was tricky to find 2 spots for tents, but doable with some roaming up the hill.

Had a great time. Hiked the Lakes Trail to Pear Lake. It wasn’t easy, but so worth it!

This is the 9th year we have camped at Lodgepole. The campsites are nice and the store is well stocked when you forget something or want to buy some local beer. It's quiet at night and when there is no moon you can practically read by the light from the Milky Way.

A definite hidden gem. I love the travel to Roads end, as well as the trip out of the valley I kept seeing new and inspiring views, and I wanted to stay a lot longer. Mist falls is a must see hike. Not as congested and commercialized as Yosemite. You have the time in solitude to enjoy what nature has provided for us. The Park Rangers and the people I met were awesome!

We enjoyed being able to camp within the park, it made seeing the sights a lot easier and quicker. There were Ranger talks at the amphitheater that both the adults and kids enjoyed. Access to bathrooms was decent, but availability of utility sinks was more sparse than I would have liked. This made disposing of gray water waste less convenient. Overall the campsites were well looked after and the bear boxes were big enough to hold everything we needed to store.

Dangerous Rivers! Many drowning victims were playing near rivers. Rivers present a far greater danger than lakes or pools. Surfaces may look calm, but strong currents often run below. Be cautious walking near rivers as rocks can be slippery. Getting out of a cold, swift river is often impossible.
