A clean, peaceful campground even though it has a lot of sites. Great staging area for High Sierra hikes from the Wolverton trailhead. And there was a cool, informative Ranger talk in the amphitheater every single night. Good stuff. Hats off to all the National Park rangers and support folks. Thank you.

Beautiful spot! Parking is close by. Scenic night sky visible and one can hear the creek clouds by. One of the most beautiful spots we had!

Very close to other site across from it. Picnic table needs to be moved in this site. BIg site however and easy access to market and showers.

The site itself was gorgeous. Stayed at site 41. The website says the site is good for a 6x6 tent, but honestly I was able to fit a 8x8 tent no problem.
The bathrooms and showers are atrocious, you’re better off not showering.
Wish people followed the rules more. Was unable to sleep all night because the campers next to us decided to talk all night long.
The market is great and they have firewood, ice, beer, and wine.

Zero privacy, the car spot was in between the two walkways to the bathrooms

One of the most gorgeous campgrounds we've ever stayed in. Bonus: close proximity to amenities in the village (showers, laundry, market, cafe) and the best-of-the-best in Sequoia, from Moro Rock to the Museum of Giants. We lucked out in that ranger programs were happening nightly -- in the campground! -- during our stay, and were so impressed by the rangers' knowledge and how engaged the audiences were both nights we attended.
Cons: We selected this site (61) because it was one of the few available and I think previous campers noted its proximity to the roadway made it a little loud. This wasn't an issue for us, but maybe we would look to book farther from the road next time. Also bear in mind, these sites are on the small side and, at least on our loop, were pretty tightly packed. Could def. hear the guy in the site next to us snoring overnight. Not a deal-breaker for us, but good for others to know when planning.

Recommend this campground because of location, and amenities. The bathrooms at the visitor center are clean, the bathrooms at the campsite were some of the worst I have experienced and my expectations are very low. The visitor center also has showers and laundry. Our campsite was nice and please be bear aware. A fed bear is a dead bear.

Dangerous Rivers! Many drowning victims were playing near rivers. Rivers present a far greater danger than lakes or pools. Surfaces may look calm, but strong currents often run below. Be cautious walking near rivers as rocks can be slippery. Getting out of a cold, swift river is often impossible.
