I had made a reservation for the campground but the night we were supposed to arrive, it started to pour rain. We just canceled and went to the hotel instead.

I love Lodgepole, especially the upper loop. We stayed in site 140 and was a bit disappointed that a huge pine had been cut down in the middle of the site. I don't know if they plan on leaving it there, but probably will. It kind of breaks the site in half from what we are used to. There also used to be a direct path to the tent pad, but there were logs laid down to accommodate an extra tent at site 141. Not sure if the occupants did that, but believe it was the campground. It was not a deal breaker, just awkward.

I very much enjoyed my campsite by the river. It was beautiful and very relaxing listening to the water. walkingon the big trees trail was absolutely amazing and the Rangers were very helpful.. I will definitely camp there again,( but it might be a little closer to the bathroom next time)😁

Beautiful campground, however there was few rangers on staff to ask questions about which supplies to lock up in bear lockers, and bathrooms and garbages were unkept.

Okay location but spot was small. It’s right next to where people park to walk into their lot so I felt like there was no privacy. The fireplace, table, and bear storage were so close together it

A very safe and clean camp site. The management team check the campground frequently. Easy access to most of sites.

Located centrally in Sequoia National Park, this is a great starting point for exploring the Park our site was spacious and level. Free internet was available at the Lodgepole store and shuttles stop at the campground during summer (unfortunately shuttles were no longer running in September).
Nice hiking trails close by; we went to Tokopah Falls.

Dangerous Rivers! Many drowning victims were playing near rivers. Rivers present a far greater danger than lakes or pools. Surfaces may look calm, but strong currents often run below. Be cautious walking near rivers as rocks can be slippery. Getting out of a cold, swift river is often impossible.
