That campsite needs work (been here three times). One, everything is uneven. Level some campsites out and the picnic tables.
There is an underground bee hive right next to the table on Site #10. With all our activity there, a scout got bit next to his eye and it swelled shut. Yes its the outdoors, etc. C'mon, we didn't get to enjoy it. Close site 10 or get rid of the bee hive next to the picnic table.

The campground was well maintained. Wasn't too crowded when we got there. Above the river, so you have to find a way down to it (well worth doing this).

The campsite was roomy and very peaceful and great location. The only reason I gave an 8 was there no one to report issue too. One of campsite was over run with red ants. Used boiled water that got rid of them. I will definitely stay here again though.

Terribly steep place! Our propane fridge stopped working cause it was so bad… what’s more - no dump station around!

Won’t stay here again. Bathrooms do not have any light, park rangers were not friendly and condescending.

We enjoyed our stay at Moraine Campground very much. There area around the campground is absolutely beautiful with lots of things to see and do. We had no problem getting our trailer and tow vehicle set at our site and even had open enough sky for solar. We would definitely return.

Great campground, lovely location. Can get quite cold even in June so check the weather. The campsites mostly seem on a significant slant which did make it harder to sleep comfortably for me but it may be different for you. The men's toilets were in desperate need of a cleaning. But overall, a great experience!

The campsite itself was great, very spacious, and super close to the river and a village market. The only thing that was that the bathroom closest to us was completely closed due to maintenance and we never saw a ranger. I would definitely bring bug spray for u and ur dog (our pit got eaten up even with a sweater on) and fill ur gas tank up before heading into the park because the drive was very long (BUT BEAUTIFUL)!

From Fresno, CA, follow California State Highway 180 East to Cedar Grove. Moraine Campground is located on the left (north) side of the road .75 miles east of Cedar Grove. Vehicles over 22 feet are not advised between Potwisha Campground and the Giant Forest Museum when entering through Sequoia National Park. Vehicles over 22 feet should use the Kings Canyon National Park Entrance.
Moraine Campground is accessible via California State Highway 180, which leads east from Fresno to Cedar Grove.

General
- If your campsite remains vacant for 24 hours after your arrival date it will be cancelled and made available on rec.gov. You will be charged for the first night's campsite fee and a $10 cancellation fee, all other fees after that will be refunded. Recreation.gov policies apply to all reservations, cancellations, refunds and date changes. Call (559) 565-3792 if you will be arriving 24 hours after your arrival date so your site won't be cancelled. Upon making a campground reservation: Site occupants agree to follow ALL campground rules. Failure to comply may result in a fine. You are responsible for your guests.
- Quiet Hours 10pm to 6am- Music, talking, and generators should not be audible beyond your immediate campsite. Unreasonable noise is prohibited any time of day.
- Tire Chains may be required at any time. Be prepared at any time of year for a wide range of temperatures and weather conditions. Check Road Conditions at nps.gov/seki. Vehicles longer than 22 feet (including trailers) are not advised between Potwisha Campground and the Giant Forest Museum. Dangerous Rivers! Many drowning victims were playing near rivers. Rivers present a far greater danger than lakes or pools. Surfaces may look calm, but strong currents often run below. Be cautious walking near rivers as rocks can be slippery. Getting out of a cold, swift river is often impossible. Falling Objects- Don't linger under dead, cracked, or broken branches. Run if you hear cracks or snapping from tree roots, trunks, or branches (know that sometimes there is no sound, and very little time to react). Report falling branches or trees to a ranger. A California state fishing license is required to fish in Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, and Sequoia National Forest lakes and streams. Fishing licenses may be available at National Park and National Forest markets.
