What Guests Are Saying
Sentinel Campground is well-maintained, clean, and set in a beautiful location near the river with ample hiking opportunities and great privacy between sites. Campers appreciate the friendly rangers and the peaceful atmosphere, especially in quieter months. While some facilities had minor issues, overall, guests enjoy a fantastic experience in nature.

It was nice, but secluded and seemingly unpopulated.....for a late August.

The campground was well designed with great signs to locate our site when we arrived at night. The backcountry ranger provided great advice on current local conditions.

The campsite is on a hill, which you already not if it is not flat you will not have the best sleep but the park will make up for it. its close to the road, you might hear some cars site 83. but it will not matter after a while.

We made reservation for 3 nights, Sept. 18, 19, and 20, at Sentinel camp ground, before leaving Los Angeles on the 18th. Because of the fire in Sequoia, I checked my e-mail to make sure the camp grounds at King Canyon are still open. The e-mail from Recreation.gov indicated the Camp Grounds at the Kings Canyon are open and had my order number.
After driving for 6 hours getting to the my Camp Site around 4 pm, the camp ranger notify us that we have to leave the camp by 12 noon next day because of the fire at Sequoia. After spending less than 20 hours at the camp site, we had to drive back to L.A., I AM STILL WAITING FOR MY REFUND
