What Guests Are Saying
Sentinel Campground is well-maintained, clean, and set in a beautiful location near the river with ample hiking opportunities and great privacy between sites. Campers appreciate the friendly rangers and the peaceful atmosphere, especially in quieter months. While some facilities had minor issues, overall, guests enjoy a fantastic experience in nature.

I love camping here, it is dog friendly, kid friendly, and well kept, and clean. They keep it very woodsy, but that's what you want. Bathrooms are clean and well stocked. Campsites are large enough to spread out, the streams that run by and sometimes through campsites are fun and give you a more out of the city feel. You are within walking or short driving distances from numerous trails, for hiking and backpacking.

Wonderful campground. Would recommend the campsites in the lower numbers, closer to the river and more trees. Horseback riding was a very fun activity. The Boyd Cavern was interesting.

Campsites are way to close. Camping is supposed to be a relaxing experience. But instead we found ourselves smack dab in the middle of numerous different party's.
So bad that I could hear every conversation of our fellow campers.
The area was incredible. It's just to bad recreation department needs to pack people almost on top of each other just for a extra buck.
Shame I won't be back.
To enjoy the area.

Sites on the loops closest to the road have very little to no shade. Take the cavern tour only if you are in decent physical condition as the climb up to the cavern is steep and long. Definitely NOT suitable for under 10.
