The restroom closest to the entry constantly strongly smelled of urine and wasn’t cleaned often enough. The camp spots around the handicapped spot were not clearly enough signed so tenters and other vehicle campers were camped willy nilly which allowed them to camp very close to others. The other campsites in the campground were located a comfortable distance apart.

Sunset campground is a great location. You can walk to the store and walk to Grants Grove.

Way too crowded. We literally had other campers 10 feet away from us on either side. Camp Site #8. Noise all night long and we never say a ranger during the two days we were there. Left a day early so we could get some sleep.

Site 33 is very close to other sites. Campfire is not allowed but both nights, there are several sites burning wood and no policing. Tried to look for host but was never there. Otherwise, the sunset was beautiful!

Terrible. Sites right on top of each other. Very in level tent pads/sites. Noisy until midnight every night. Not a camp host or ranger in sight for six days.

Kings Canyon National Park is easily accessible from Fresno, California. Take HWY 180 East from Fresno, and proceed 55 miles to Kings Canyon National Park. Three miles east of the Big Stump Entrance Station you will find Sunset campground on your left.
