We love Sunset and Azalea campgrounds. This is our first time to Azalea and we loved it, nice campground. It was a little disappointing about the water main break but those things happen and we'll be back!

Sunset Campground is great for first time camping or camping with kids. They have flushing toilets, water to wash dishes and put out fires. There is a general store across the way as well as the information center. Site 38 was nice, I booked it because online it said it had a good view. But there are bushes blocking the view. So we had to walk a small distance to the next camp site to see the sunset over the city. The one thing I really didn't like, is that 38 is right next to 40. I mean right next to 40. It was practically the same camp site. It would be nice to book of you have more than 6 ppl and want to have your sites really close to one another.

The space is really tight, and the sleeping area is on an incline. The neighbors are 10ft away. Beautiful sunset spot. Flushable toilet is nice.

The campground is huge and nice. Most sites covered with shade.
The site #17 is a big site as well. However, it is on a mild slope. It is closed to a group site which have some noise during the night. Other than that, it is a nice place to stay.

This was our first time coming out west. We visited all the big parks (Grand Canyon, Zion, Sequoia / King's Canyon, Yosemite, Grand Teton, Yellowstone and Rocky Mountain National Parks. We stayed in GC, Zion and Sequoia. This campground in Sequoia was one of the prettiest places I have ever camped, and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Nobody observes quiet hours there. Two times I had to get up in the middle of the night and ask people to stop making noise. There’s no Rangers on site to do this. Why am I paying $30 to have no to have no enforcement of the rules? I ended up getting a room for the second night to get any amount of sleep, so I forfeited the second night and $30.

We had a great stay at this campsite. Great central location to visit both Sequoia NP and Kings Canyon. Also an easy walk to Grant Grove Village and General Grant.
