What Guests Are Saying
Sunset Campground is praised for its beautiful sunset views, clean facilities, and convenient location near major attractions in Sequoia and Kings Canyon. Many visitors enjoyed the serene atmosphere, ample hiking opportunities, and friendly staff. However, some noted issues with noise from neighboring sites and varying site sizes, which could impact the camping experience. Overall, it's a lovely spot that many would return to despite a few drawbacks.

We had a great time. The campground is in a great location near Grant’s Grove, and close to the entrance so you can swing by the general store if you need anything. There were lots of fallen trees and rocks for the kids to climb on. We brought some firewood with us, but were able to gather a few logs when we ran out. We plan on making this a yearly trip.

A large and beautiful campground with plenty of clean restrooms. It was awesome to be across the street from the Grant Grove Village, which made getting supplies super easy. We also loved being so centrally located between Kings Canyon to the north and Sequoia to the south, and a short hike from General Grant tree. As we were leaving we were already talking about wanting to return to that same campground for a future trip!

Loved the campground (layout can be a little confusing, but worked out). The staff was helpful. Views and hikes near camp were amazing.
