Nice campground in a good location. Can walk or drive to the general store and restaurant. Flush toilets and potable water is always a plus. We had sites 91 and 92 for 5 people (2 tents), which was gave us a bit more privacy. The sites had beautiful sunsets both nights, and lots of woodsy area to explore behind our area.

Campground is situated in the perfect place. Close to everything.
A lot of shadow places, especially for tent.

Everyone is working hard to put the park back together after the winter rains. There is noise going in and out of Sunset campground during the day. Space # 70 is right at the entrance - huge space for 2-3 large tents / no neighbors! Enjoy

This is a great campsite (69) for a campervan, trailer or tent. Ample room for the grandkids to play. Hiking trails to General Grant Tree and Sunset trail to Ella and Viola falls are in the immediate area. Short walk to the Visitor Center. Only drawback is some traffic noise during the day. Campground is undergoing some improvement projects.

Excellent location with gorgeous sunset views in the evening. The visitor's center, market, gift shop, and restaurant are within walking distance or a very short drive from the campground. We hiked from Sunset Camp to Grant Grove and the North Grove Trail to see the giant sequoias. We also visited Buck Rock Lookout and Panoramic Point. I would recommend a four-wheel drive vehicle to get up to the Buck Rock Lookout, as the dirt road leading up to the site is a bit rough. I recommend visitors wear sturdy shoes when visiting and/or hiking any of these locations. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets from Campsite #40, and gorgeous sunrises at Panoramic Point.
