This was the first time I have camped here. Great spot. Wonderful view and the sunset was gorgeous. Location was convenient to Grant Grove Village and the amenities there.

We really lucked out with this campsite and site #(130) as it was a last minute booking and surrounding campsites were booked! Our sight was perfect, near the restrooms but not too close to hear them. Nice big space with a little meadow next to us. We had a sweet deer visit every evening. We could hear some road noise but it wasn't bothersome. Site was flat for a few tents, we had a large one and small one. 8 min walk to Grant Grove Village which had great food and a market. The only downside was that there were no showers which made it rough for 3 nights! Also, be very careful on what site you pick. Some are absolutely terrible, so close to each other or super uneven spot.

We stay in camp site 79. Its nice but on a heel. We moved sites do to a hornet's nest in the ground that stung all 3 of my small children.
Other than that Sunset is a great campsite. With flushing toilets, well light bathroom with sink and mirror.

This place was fantastic. A perfect middle ground for both sequoia and kings canyon. It was clean and well kept and the bathrooms were more than satisfactory. My only complaints would be that the sites are very close together and most of them are pretty sloped. We made it work though and would definitely stay here again.
