Absolutely beautiful campground, highly recommend sites in the mid to high 30’s and 100/102/108 for beautiful views of the sunset.
Only downside was how loud the campground was, forget the 10pm “quiet hours”.

We enjoyed camping at Sunset from 8/27-8/28/21. Definitely going back in the future. The only setback is that there's no shower although there's plenty of water in the camp. Hume Lake is 8 mi. from the site. It's a good lake to take a dip. The camp is close to the Grant Grove visitor center where you can get coffee. And you can capture the sunset at the Sunset Overlook.

The campground is very clean and well maintained; the neighbors for the most part respected the quiet hours. Campsites are on the smaller side and separation is a challenge. The location is picturesque and overall this was an excellent stay and I would highly recommend.

This campground is huge, which means lots of people and lots of noise. Perhaps the big trees echoed the noises more, but people were not respecting typical quiet hours - blasting music from across the campground late at night and in the morning. Sites were pretty close together and ours was not ideal for setting up a tent, on a slant. Facilities were good though.
