Many visitors appreciate the clean facilities, friendly camp hosts, and access to scenic trails and a small lake. Nice campsite! Neighbors were minimally noisy, which was really nice considering it was the 4th of July weekend. We walked down to Marlette Creek Lake, and our dog loved splashing in the water. We came camping to avoid the sound of fireworks, as our dog nearly has a heart attack from them, but we could still hear the display in Truckee. It was muffled, but still audible. Overall, we enjoyed our camping trip here and would like to return. We did come home with several sneaky bug bites so I'd use more bug spray next time.

I have been staying for at least 15 years and keep coming back. A nice quiet campground that is close to town yet feels like you’re in the woods.

Nice quiet campground. A couple of miles from the highway so road noise is not an issue. Restrooms have running water in the sink but pit toilets. Not an issue for me but others may not like that. Potable water spigots are spread out throughout the campground. Most sites have a good amount of shade.

Great location only about 10 minutes from downtown Truckee. Martis Lake is a 2 minute drive or 10 minute walk from camp if you’re looking for some fishing.
