The tranquility of this place is amazing. So much wildlife; woodpeckers, bluejays, eagles, beavers in the lake. I was so happy to see that much of the weeds in the lake have been cleaned out. Thank you to whoever did that. I love that there are no power boats allowed. It makes kayaking the lake so lovely! I spent 15 days here and enjoyed the peace and quiet immensely. I will definitely be back. Please don't tell anyone else about this place. My only complaint is that I hate the pit toilets, but I found a way to work around that, I used a blue boy tank that I could empty.

Very low key campground with good shade and well kept campsites. You can hear and see small jets landing at the Truckee airport but not during sleeping hours. Great views of the Martis Creek Lake and meadow area. Bathrooms are pit toilets and a bit smelly but better than nothing. About 20 min from North Lake Tahoe beaches. I would stay again.

We chose this campsite for a one night stay during a cross country road trip because it was easy to get to from freeway. We were pleasantly surprised how nice and beautiful it was! The site was clean and spacious. Trees provided great shade for a hot day. We enjoyed walking to Martin Creek Lake. If we’re ever in the area again, we’d love to stay at this campground for longer.

What a beautiful campground. Close to Tahoe - either Kings Beach or Tahoe City. There's also a small lovely lake super close to the camp, that is fun and peaceful to visit. Clean bathrooms.
