What Guests Are Saying
Alpine Meadow Campground offers a clean, quiet, and well-maintained environment with spacious sites, making it ideal for families and outdoor enthusiasts. Its convenient location near Truckee and various hiking and biking trails adds to its appeal, while friendly hosts enhance the camping experience. Some minor concerns include potential allergens in the grass and noise from nearby airport and train tracks, but overall, visitors appreciate the campground's beauty and tranquility.

I have coming to this campground for a long time and it is still my favorite when fishing nearby lakes and streams. It is a clean safe place to enjoy the outdoors while being close to stores and gas when needed.

I like the location, next to the lake, close to the city but still being secluded. It is a nice, clean and quiet place to camp while having the convenience of being close to town

I think people need to know that Martis Lake is a fishing lake, not very good for swimming. Donner Lake is only 15-20 minutes away for swimming, walking, picnicking, and more.

Beautiful! Loved everything! Seriously everything even the planes flying around from the airport just no showers⦠but it was well kept and very relaxing!

Alpine Meadows COE offers large campsites. We had site #15 which provided an unlimited view of the surrounding forest and meadows. The lake was not visible from our site, but offers a nice hike to and around it. We were there during the week and it was very quiet. We were told that the locals whoop it up there in the weekends, though.

The campsites are well maintained and the area is quiet at night. Itβs proximity to a private airport does mean airplane takeoff and landing noise during daylight hours. The paved road access to the campground area is in poor condition, requiring slow driving.

Lovely quiet campsite location, close to Truckee and convenient for the lake and Palisades Tahoe resort. Road in is paved but quite bumpy.

Beautiful campground with amazing views from some of the sites. The campground is very well maintained, clean and welcoming. The sites are spaced a nice distance apart. You feel like you're far from the city, but you are actually very close to Truckee, NorthStar and Lake Tahoe.

Enjoyed our stay at this Federal Campground for only $20.00 per night!! A good value and only 10 minute drive to a nice Rally's supermarket. The road in could be repaired. Thank you !
