Great campground, the host was very helpful and friendly. Some road noise, quiet at night.

Beautiful little campground. Very quiet and peaceful, especially toward the back of the campground. I recommend getting a site away from the highway. Our site was along the river (site 19), so the sound of that helped to drown out any highway noise. There was a nice little path down to the river from our site. It was also a huge and very spacious site. Rustic campground, vault toilets but clean, and only 1 water spigot by the camphor. Not sure if there is one in the other loop. I also actually got cell service here. Great location too, just a quick drive to Truckee.

The campground offers excellent sites with well-maintained restroom facilities, though occasionally there are issues with odors. Access to the river is somewhat limited, but still available.

We had this site for a week. All was quiet and ok until the last 3 nights. Some other camper left their cooler out thinking a bear couldn’t get into it. They were very wrong. The next day/night the bear kept coming back. Actually heard it was 2. It was not scared of people yelling and banging on things or dogs growling and barking at all. We packed up to a hotel for the last 2 nights. No need to risk anything.
The camp host never came around when we checked in. It would have been helpful if they spoke with people checking in to make sure they understood the bear situation.

We had a larger group so we actually had 4 sites. We were concerned about road noise but it was not bad at all. And the campground was very clean and quiet. There is a spot where people can swim in the Truckee river and cool off. But the river is moving quickly so watch little ones closely. I would definitely recommend this as a fun place to camp as it is close to Truckee and Tahoe City.

We enjoyed our stay at Good Meadows. The garbage was well taken care of and staff cleaned the bathrooms daily. The fire pit had been recently cleaned out as well.
