What Guests Are Saying
Granite Flat campground is praised for its beautiful location near the Truckee River, clean facilities, and friendly camp hosts, making it a popular choice for annual visits. Many campers appreciate the easy access to outdoor activities like biking and floating, and the well-maintained restrooms add to the positive experience. However, road noise from nearby Highway 89 is a common concern, particularly at night, which can detract from the overall tranquility of the site.

We liked that this campground is next to the river, but the highway is way too loud for me.

Highway 89 is a very noisy deterrent.

Nice place for a little R&R. Camp Host is excellent. There is some road noise from Highway 89.

#14 campsite . . . no real place to put a tent. The light from cars will keep you up all night!

#64 was a great site and right by the Truckee river. Yes the campsite overall is right off a busy road but other than that it felt a world apart.

Campground is clean, and host is friendly. It's covered with pine trees and is alongside the Truckee river. The only downside of the campground is its proximity with the highway so there is always noise from vehicles, especially sleeping on the ground.

Decent campsite footprint, clean restrooms but the road in and through campground and campground asphalt pads are in poor condition.

Campsite is too small and too close the another campsite.
It was so noisy, because it is close the 89 highway .

I had a nice campsite, right by the river. The asphalt pad was flat, but narrow. And it sloped away with no flat spot for a chair. Nice and quiet!
