What Guests Are Saying
Granite Flat campground is praised for its beautiful location near the Truckee River, clean facilities, and friendly camp hosts, making it a popular choice for annual visits. Many campers appreciate the easy access to outdoor activities like biking and floating, and the well-maintained restrooms add to the positive experience. However, road noise from nearby Highway 89 is a common concern, particularly at night, which can detract from the overall tranquility of the site.

My campsite, I will keep the number private because I wanna be able to reserve it again. My campsite was beautiful, the river float right behind the campground which was just gorgeous. The bathrooms are very basic but they were very clean and they did not smell. The camp post was a really nice man and he did a great job doing his duties.

Campground is literally on the side of the highway. I would not recommend for a nature experience.

The camping spaces are a bit compact, but given the available space, it still was a good experience. The Riverside camping is enjoyable.

Terrible campground. Right next to highway. Could hear cars all night. Noise from other campers. Spots too close to one another.

Perfectly splendid spot. Very cute little path right to the river. Will absolutely book this spot again.

The campsites are very close together. My neighbor's tent was next to my table, and had people come in on the other side of me, I would have had no privacy at all. My site did not have a good surface in which to put up a tent. And finally the highway noise was present even into the wee hours.

Great location! Get a spot on the River side if you can. Bathrooms have no sink just a heads up!

Very smelly and loud next to the road. I tried to find the camp host to see if I could change spots or cancel but there was no one to be found. I ended up leaving and staying in my van in a parking lot. Recreation won’t give me a partial refund back either.
