What Guests Are Saying
Granite Flat campground is praised for its beautiful location near the Truckee River, clean facilities, and friendly camp hosts, making it a popular choice for annual visits. Many campers appreciate the easy access to outdoor activities like biking and floating, and the well-maintained restrooms add to the positive experience. However, road noise from nearby Highway 89 is a common concern, particularly at night, which can detract from the overall tranquility of the site.

I love this camp site, lots of beauty to see only down side is the car noise all night long. Hard to sleep when traffic is going by

The setting is stunningly beautiful but the traffic noise was disappointing. We were just steps from the Truckee River, a perfect place to splash around and play in the water. The traffic was pretty loud and the campsites are very close together so no privacy.

Very clean campground. The grounds are very well maintained and these are the cleanest vault toilets I’ve even seen at any campground. Sites are level and paved. The camp host was very friendly and helpful. And while some sites are close together, most of them along the river give you plenty of room. There are no hookups or dump station but there is potable water throughout the campground. There are places to dump close by. Road noise from Hiway 89 is loud but less noticeable at night. Bring earplugs for a good nights sleep.

Could hear cars passing from campground being right off HWY 89 but not to the point of not able to get a good night of rest. Campground and bathrooms were clean and camp host was super friendly. Good experience overall.
