What Guests Are Saying
Granite Flat campground is praised for its beautiful location near the Truckee River, clean facilities, and friendly camp hosts, making it a popular choice for annual visits. Many campers appreciate the easy access to outdoor activities like biking and floating, and the well-maintained restrooms add to the positive experience. However, road noise from nearby Highway 89 is a common concern, particularly at night, which can detract from the overall tranquility of the site.

The camp host was a complete jerk and charged us for vehicles erroneously. We had to get the rangers involved. They were very nice, took time to understand and gave us our money back.
Many of the spots are way too small and the road noise is constant and incredibly loud. Luckily one of the 4 spots we reserved had enough space. The others were a waste.

Camp sites are nice. The highway is close and noisy. If you grew up next to the freeway it’s no problem. The Truckee River is equally close and beautiful.

We have been going to Granite Flat for over 35 years. The facility was maintained exceptionally. Thank you Tyler. We were so impressed on how most of the campers maintained their sites and kept everything so nice. (That hasn’t happened on past years and we found this most refreshing)

Great campground and location. Our only complaint was there was next to no shade.

The site was big enough for our 35 foot motor home……the Truckee river was right in front of us and was beautiful!
