What Guests Are Saying
Granite Flat campground is praised for its beautiful location near the Truckee River, clean facilities, and friendly camp hosts, making it a popular choice for annual visits. Many campers appreciate the easy access to outdoor activities like biking and floating, and the well-maintained restrooms add to the positive experience. However, road noise from nearby Highway 89 is a common concern, particularly at night, which can detract from the overall tranquility of the site.

Don’t book here! I wish I could get my $30 back! Got into town late and the address took me to a parking lot with a warehouse. Not a campsite!

Granite flat is a clean and well maintained campground that borders the Truckee river. Easy access to Truckee, 1 mile and Lake Tahoe 13 miles. Very popular on the weekends. Only possible downside is traffic noise as it sits next to the highway.

I love this little campground near Lake Tahoe. It is close to town, you can easily ride your bike or walk into town (Truckee, CA). It is about 12 miles from the lake. There are many sites long enough to accomodate big 5th wheels and our 32' trailer plus truck. The other two campgrounds along that part of 89 are nice too, especially if you are in a tent. You can't beat the price! This trip was in September and it was very quiet with very few campers. We were able to be right on the river. We have been here many times, usually in the summer, but this is the time of year to go. The road noise from Hwy 89 can be quite busy, but it does quiet down in the evening and night. I don't usually notice it as I am busy hanging with my friends and family. Happy Trails!

Very nice cite, the road noise did not affect us much, but cites closer to the road, I could see where it would be an issue. Very well maintained. The road could use better pavement. I would stay here again!
