What Guests Are Saying
Granite Flat campground is praised for its beautiful location near the Truckee River, clean facilities, and friendly camp hosts, making it a popular choice for annual visits. Many campers appreciate the easy access to outdoor activities like biking and floating, and the well-maintained restrooms add to the positive experience. However, road noise from nearby Highway 89 is a common concern, particularly at night, which can detract from the overall tranquility of the site.

The camp host was very friendly but also kept a respectful distance allowing us privacy and peace at the camp site. Bathrooms were the cleanest vault toilets Iβve ever used. Being right next to the river was amazing. The only downside is that you can hear the traffic on the road all day and night. Itβs not so loud that I couldnβt sleep but itβs something youβll be aware of while camping. Overall a great campground with lots of river access points in the campground.

It is a great location, except for being too close to a noisy busy road. There is a lot of deferred maintenance.

Helpful camp host. Right on the river and close to anything you need. Bathrooms and park is very clean. This is my βgo toβ spot when I want to get away and do nothing or hike, raft, hop over to Tahoe or shop and eat in Truckee.

Road noise is a lot to deal with. Campground was clean and host was nice. recommend ear plugs if you camp close to road here.
