My family and I loved this site, close to the restrooms, but not close enough where you would be able to smell any odors or hear people go in and out. Two small cars fit confortably.

Clean and flat campground which provides a great spot for stargazing. Very close to city if you stay multiple days and might need to do shopping. While more inside the park campgrounds are more scenery either close to Joshua trees or big rocks but they mostly don’t have flashed toilets like here.

The campsites were good, bathrooms clean. Only complaint is that it appears locals use this as a party campground. Loud talking and laughter till 2AM with campsites fairly close. Not just 1 or 2 campers but many. Might be better during weekdays? The sunsets and sunrises and scenery in general are great. Star viewing also great.

Good change of pace at JT. It's a more secluded campground and based at the SE part of the park. So the entrance is off I-10 instead of having to climb to a higher elevation to enter at the main gate.
