What Guests Are Saying
Jumbo Rocks Campground offers a clean and well-maintained environment with stunning views, quiet nights, and easy access to hiking trails and climbing opportunities. Many campsites provide a sense of privacy and seclusion, especially if chosen wisely, while facilities like clean restrooms enhance the camping experience. However, some sites are closely situated, which can lead to noise and foot traffic from neighbors, and the presence of bees may be bothersome for some visitors.

Enjoyed a quiet, peaceful three night stay at Jumbo Rocks campground. Plenty of clean vault toilets spread around the campground. A trailhead to Skull Rock was in the campground. No cell service was available on T-MOBILE. Plenty of available hikes, from easy to strenuous. A fun trip to Joshua Tree!

Clean campground, clean toilets, small sites. Nice hike from the campground to Skull Rock. When we pulled into βourβ site there was a line of large RVs parked/camped on the other side of the street. They had their generators on even thoβ it was not during the approved generator time. We decided to move to a different campsite

Spacious corner compared to other sites nearby, though you have to walk a little bit from the parking, which could not be a problem if you light packed or with a wheeled cart. The weather in December was nice, not too cold by the fire pit in the evening and the morning was way better than the early summer. We took plenty of water, and not a hard time for us. A great night to be disconnected. So chill under the stars.

Make sure u bring water
The bathroom clean
If u pay 30 $ a night they can invest in some cheap solar panels and lights for bathrooms.!!!!!!

Spot 49 was great!! Itβs close to bathrooms (they were very clean) and tucked away into its own little area, further away from others compared to other sites. Ton of space and perfect for sunset. Our tent was a six person tent and the space made it look small. When coming back to Joshua tree, we will definitely be back to this spot!

I was here in site 3 during December, this site is in shade all afternoon at that time of year, making it chilly.. It is a nice private site but It is adjacent to several walk-in sites and there were 2 late night loud groups in those sites, like 3AM late one night

Campsites are close to one another with little privacy. However, this campground is in the middle of Joshua Tree NP and connected to trails that allow you to explore the surrounding areas and to scramble nearby rock formations. The vault toilets are relatively clean and have low odor. You do not have to drive far from this campground to get to other trails, viewpoints, rock climbing areas, and exhibits along Park Blvd.
