What Guests Are Saying
Jumbo Rocks Campground offers a clean and well-maintained environment with stunning views, quiet nights, and easy access to hiking trails and climbing opportunities. Many campsites provide a sense of privacy and seclusion, especially if chosen wisely, while facilities like clean restrooms enhance the camping experience. However, some sites are closely situated, which can lead to noise and foot traffic from neighbors, and the presence of bees may be bothersome for some visitors.

Amazing campsite! Jumbo rocks all around!
The only downside is no water which translates to pit toilets. Everything else is spectacular.

Second time staying in site 69. Perfect little spot by the rocks to set up your kitchen area. Nice spot between trees and bushes to set up your tent.

If you planning to camp here during winter, make sure youre well prepared with enough warm clothes and camping stuff.. Also, dont be scared if you hear the coyotes or hienas during the peaceful night:)

Perfect spot you can put your tent up against the rock to help with the wind. In the afternoon the rocks provide some shade.

Was nice and secluded being at the far back of the campground. Ended up only staying one night due to the wind and cold other than that it was perfect.

Jumbo Rocks is a spectacular campground. The only downside to me is no water which translates to only pit toilets.

I had probably the most fun I have ever had at a national park campsite. There was easy access to all the trail systems near the campgrounds as well as convenient restroom locations. Would highly recommend this campground to anyone looking to visit Joshua Tree National Park!

Great scenery. Feels like you’re in a movie set. Nice trails, but beware winter is COLD and windy at night. And yes, there is staff at the gate checking you in making sure you actually show up.
