What Guests Are Saying
Jumbo Rocks Campground offers a clean and well-maintained environment with stunning views, quiet nights, and easy access to hiking trails and climbing opportunities. Many campsites provide a sense of privacy and seclusion, especially if chosen wisely, while facilities like clean restrooms enhance the camping experience. However, some sites are closely situated, which can lead to noise and foot traffic from neighbors, and the presence of bees may be bothersome for some visitors.

really enjoyed the location of campsite 12. right near the restroom and dumpster but was away enough for those to not be a bother. campsite 13 was right behind the site and seemed rather close but no one showed up to that site during our stay. seems like it would be good to book both sites if you want to camp with a few friends.
lots of bushes with flowers on them during our stay which means lots and lots of bees. they didnt bother anyone but they were very interested in crawling into drink cans.
nice big rock that you can hang out on right at the campsite. a lot of ground squirrels also using the rocks as look out points and trying to find scraps of food at camp.

What a great place to camp. Between the boulders and under the start. Take a early morning hike from the campsite and enjoy the quiet. I would highly recommend visiting Josuha Tree National Park and Jumbo Rocks Campsite.

No fuss from campsite staff/host. I appreciate not being bothered by camp hosts. Many national park camp hosts can be a bit intrusive.Clean campsite with friendly, quiet neighbors. Clean bathrooms well stocked with toilet paper.

Good table and fire pit. Reasonable privacy. Quiet. Good toilet. No shade. Did a lot of hiking. If you are not a rock climber or scrambler, there is not a lot here.

Campsite was great, felt private despite having other folks somewhat close by. It was great to be able to hike to skull rock from the campsite. Don't forget to bring water as the campground doesn't have any.

Beautiful campground, and environment. Sites are mostly right on top of eachother, so be ready for community.

This site was beautifully positioned at the back of this "neighborhood." It was an easy walk to/from the very near, well stocked restroom. Access to Skull Rock, Face Rock, Split Rock and Discovery Trails was right within the campground.
