Made great memories with my family, bathrooms very clean and the scenery was amazing. Best camp ground to visit every time for my kids.

Great Lake. Camping spots were hard to pick out since most of the pictures they used were from a while ago and don’t really show how slanted the spots are for the tents. Rangers do their usual rounds often but stop after 12am. Take extra Toilet Paper. It is very dusty and rocky. The lake itself was very refreshing. All the jet skis and boats scare off the fish so fishing was a fail. Take ear plugs because some other people are very loud during quiet hours. Take some games and A projector. Overall would visit again. Had campsites 91 & 92

Depending on how you're staying, it makes a difference at any campground in New Hogan. The "end result" is: Everything rolls towards the lake ... But Nature & wildlife, all but make up for the distant jet skis, boats, and the road ... that has more traffic than you want to hear, compounded that the roads are fast and curvy for those with a gotta be-louder, go-faster, speed-fetish ... after hours ... due to lack of law enforcement personnel, but if you get caught, you wish you didn't ...
Don't let it discourage you .... there is 24 hours and the negative isn't as bad as being in the city, on your front porch, And when it is quiet. There is Peace on EARTH. Humans ruin it for the animals who belong and live here. They can't pick up the trash you leave behind ... be kind to nature. If you packed it in, pack it out and trash it properly.
Enjoy the Lake, and level your site cleaner than you found it. The next person, the animals, and the park personnel will all appreciate the courtesy.
A little extra effort goes a long way, for a few extra minutes of time.

Always perfect water clean bathrooms love the wildlife but this year 2024 we had a lot of wasps at our campsite. Just keep it clean and drinks covered we got stung a couple of times lol will be back next year!

The campsite was quiet during the week now , the water is nice and refreshing, the only issues are people don’t pick up trash and it’s trash all over. Disappointed with that, bathroom was also gross but could have been worse . It wasn’t crowded mid week which was nice!

Our campsite was nice, with a few trees and backed up to a grassy area between the campsite and the lake. The shower closest to us was not functioning. As a result, people took "showers" at the faucet uphill and the runoff pooled by our picnic table. The lake is mucky, lots of slimy moss on the rocks in the water.
The only other drawback is there are lots of sharp shale rocks that hurt our dogs' feet. We will buy shoes for our dogs next time.
