Many reviewers appreciated the cleanliness of the grounds and active ranger presence, though some noted that the bathrooms require more frequent maintenance. Overall it's a nice camping spot. I've been many times and will return again. Several bathrooms and showers available. Also camping spots are a good size and have a bit more privacy than other lakes. A great place to camp, swim and boat.

We were in Spot # 64, if was tough to get in and when entering the campsite from the entrance as I hit a branch on the tree and damaged the roof on my Class A motorhome. The overall experience was good, the surrounding neighbors were good as well. It was very warm while we were there, so we didn't have any campfires. The Park Ranger (Eric) was very nice when he stopped by to deliver our pass, saw him drive through mulitipe times, along with the County Sheriff. The bathrooms really need better/deep cleaning, the toliet paper ran out early in the morning, and the lights did not come on at night, so it was dark and needed a flashlight to use the facilites. This is our second time camping here and will come back again, but not during the summer months (too hot). Great place to camp in fall and early spring.

Site 84…horrible site. There wasn’t a single flat spot for a tent. The lake was nice but sleeping on a slope was awful.

Good camping. It was very hot in May so not easy with a tent

Nice campground. Sites are not too close together, although they are definitely not level. Had a difficult time leveling out but it is doable. My site had a downhill slope to the table where others were fairly flat. I will definitely go back.

The campground was lovely. The camp hosts were friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that the reservation system is crazy. Several of us needed to extend our stay due to an epic snow in the mountains and all the pass roads were closed. You need internet connection to make reservation with Rec.gov, and that wasn't available. The campground hosts are unable to take money. As it was, I got a knock on the door late at night from 2 rangers who were able to take my money and allow me to stay the night, but there was a half day of not knowing if someone else was going to come for my campsite or not. Need better communication between campgrounds and reservation agency.
