If you're tent camping it may be a chore. Finding a level spot that isn't filled with crap isn't easy. I think the park is regularly used by people looking to party by a lake (judging from the bottle caps and other detritus). It wasn't noisy when I was there, so that was good.
The bathrooms close to my campsite were disgusting, and I'm not super picky. The urinals seemed to have something growing in them. Most pit toilets I've used are nicer. Definitely didn't brush my teeth in there.

Sweet spot. Near the water and nice shady spot. Area is clean and rangers are always checking for any rogue campers. We felt safe and the locals that camp there frequently are very friendly. We'll be back again for sure

my wife turned the fire ring down and subsequently broke her toe when it fell because it was so heavy. The fire rings should have a warning as to how heavy they are. She had to go to urgent care and there are 3 broken bones in her toe. Lots of fun time wasted because of this and she has 2 months of recovery. nice veiw to sit while convalescing.

This was my favorite camp site till this last time
This was the first time that we invited the family to come and join us so we got two spots that were completely overrun by tall grass the campsite definitely has not been taken care of however across the lake which has not been open in the last few years look like it had been very well maintained I am deeply disappointed

One of our favorite sites. Close to the bay area but on the edge of the Sierra foothills. Much more water than in the last couple years. Fun watching the geese looking after their young.
