It would have been 4 or 5 stars if the other reservations followed the quiet hour and common courtesy.

We love camping hogan lake because it’s close to home. Park rangers are always friendly to us.
Only downside is the guy and girl campground host are tweakers and going through the trash cans and and hangs out at camp sites that have other tweakers at them.

We enjoyed our stay @ New Hogan Lake. Roads were well maintained, and the campsites were pretty clean. The dump station @ Oak Knoll was clean and well maintained. A couple of good places to eat in Valley Springs and short drive to them.
Oak Knoll campgrounds sites are relatively close to the lake and Acorn campground sites are a little higher and not as easy to get to the water from them.

Overall, a good stay and we will return.

Great place to camp, close to the water, very short walking distance, everyt8ng was clean (never used the bathrooms so ant speak to that). Only thing that would have been nice is if there more water spigots nears the sites we booked. We have a trailer but next time we'll need to be sure to bring plenty more fresh water. Would definitely camp here again.

The camp host and her husband were awesome, very good people . I have 0 complaints about the hosts. Only thing I would say is maybe clean the bathroom more often but other than that such an amazing place .

This is a lovely campground, but many of the sites do not have shade and I was there on a particularly hot time. I stayed at Site #4 and even thought there are a few trees on the site it was very difficult to stay cool - especially during the later part of the day. Also, the bathrooms had A LOT of bugs in them and it was easily a good 10 degrees hotter in them during the day. A light would be nice too. Finally, the only shower I found was a 5-minute drive away at another campground. All-in-all, it is a beautiful site with a lot of wildlife that visit the campsites daily, but if you want shade and acceptable restroom facilities you might think twice about this place.

Very hot summer spot. Nice wide open, fairly level drive ways with a covered cabana. Nice view of lake from most sites.

Camp site and restrooms were clean. The view from this site was great and it was very close to the water. The sites are very close to each other. I'd go again in a group but not the best place for a solo trip when you're looking for peace and quiet.
