Crane campground campsites are more roomy than staying down in the village restrooms, were clean and the camp host were best Ive ever met , and helped me out when I ran out of propane one night. Also theres a chevron gas station right next to it.

Overall experience was very good. The campground is clean and well maintained. It was nice to be away from the crowds in the Yosemite Valley. Located very near to the gas station and store. If you have more than one day I would definitely recommend taking Tioga Road to Tuolumne Meadows and stopping at Olmsted Point and Tenaya Lake.

Staying at the campground was a good experience. As long as you follow the rules you will enjoy it too. Everything was clean, good and peaceful location if you plan to hit Tioga pass.

I was there for one night but it was an excellent stay. Facilities were great and campground separate from the others around us. Would definitely stay there again.

Bathroom was clean, the bear boxes were large enough to handle all of our food and scented items. Campground host was knowledgeable and helpful

Amazing campsite and campground. Could fit our campervan very easily. Very calm and dark at night. Keep in mind that there are no eletricity in this campground, so we had the showers at Curry Village.

Tony and Vickie who were at the gate were amazingly friendly. The site - 505, was a great site with flat grade for our tent trailer.

Take Highway 41 north from Fresno, Highway 140 east from Merced, or Highway 120 east from Manteca into Yosemite National Park. Crane Flat Campground is located 8 miles from the Big Oak Flat Entrance Station (Hwy 120 from the west), and is 17 miles (30 minutes) northwest of Yosemite Valley.

Bears and wildlife live here! Food, scented items and toiletries must be stored 24 hours/day. Absolutely NO food stored in vehicles!Food lockers are provided in all campsites and measure 35 inches deep x 43 inches wide x 28 inches high.Dispose of garbage immediately in bear-proof dumpsters or in your locker. Do NOT hang garbage bags in your site! |
