Make sure you plan your time to the Reservoir or to the Valley floor it does take some time. This site is very full in the summer.

Clean site, good experience with good neighbors and beautiful scenery with close access to Hetch Hetchy, but a little steep on the hill for a hike in site which made the fire pit far from the tent and tough to find an all flat spot for the tent.

None of the campsites for RVs or vans is on level ground, making it difficult to level the vehicle ourselves. Restrooms have no soap or hand dryer. Poor set-up for a state campground in CA. The host and ranger do little to monitor campers playing music at off-hour times. CA has not funded improvements in these parks near Yosemite.

Sites are too close to each other. No tent pad in a tent only site. Picnic table wasn’t level. No soap, hand sanitizer, or hand drying facilities (paper or air) in bathroom. Had to walk through other camper’s sites to get to the bathroom.
Information specifically stated no sleeping in vehicles and there were individuals obviously sleeping in vehicles at tent only sites. Should have left my tent at home and slept in my vehicle since the only semi-flat spot was 3 feet from the bear box.
Never saw an employee in the entrance kiosk to properly check in or a camp host.
Only positive was there was plenty of room in the bear box.

site 23 is located down a steep hill with no clear pathway so I hope you didn’t do a crazy hike the day before like me! My knees were shot and every time I walked down to the site it was agony, but like overall the campground was great and it was cool we could have fires

Great spot, away from the crowds.
The campgrounds are of decent size for 6 people. The Pitfire and the grill were perfect. Also had a parking spot

The campsites are not very flat and could use some grading.
