Campground was great as an access point for Yosemite, it's approximately a ~45 min drive from the valley, shorter drive to Tioga road. Campground was spacious with generous sites. Sites are designated based on camping equipment (tent, RV/trailer). Some of the RV sites were not very level. Many of the tent sites were really nice, nestled in the trees away from the road. We stayed during the first come first serve period in early April. No problem finding a small RV site, even arriving in the afternoon on a Friday, and sites remained available through the weekend. Only complaint is that the only water spigots were at the 2 bathrooms. We were close to a bathroom so it wasn't a problem, but it would have been annoying if we were farther away from one.

The nature there is beautiful and you can have nice walks across and around the campground, I do recommend you do that. But the road on the campground to our spot was horrible and the restrooms were disgusting. I'm glad we had our own RV so it wasn't a problem for us, but it disappointing to see.

Tidy campground just inside the entrance to Yosemite. The staff were super friendly & helpful. Be aware that at least for some of the campsites, they're down a fairly steep hill & you will need to carry your stuff down there about 75ft since the parking is up the hill. It's great because it gets you away from the road noise!

A ways away from the valley, which is good from our perspective. Some nice hiking nearby. Great camp sites.
