What Guests Are Saying
Hodgdon Meadow Campground is a clean, well-maintained facility with friendly staff and a peaceful atmosphere, making it an excellent base for exploring Yosemite. Many campers appreciated the beautiful natural surroundings and the cleanliness of the restrooms. However, some sites are sloped and close together, which might impact comfort and privacy for certain visitors. Overall, it’s a highly recommended spot for campers looking to enjoy the beauty of Yosemite.

While it worked out for a last-minute option, the sites were way too close together ours was barely five feet from the next group. On top of that, our spot was right along the main path to the restrooms, so there was constant foot traffic through our area. It didn’t feel private or peaceful at all.

Always a treat to get a glamping spot in Yosemite, especially when the weather is cooperating. Only negative was the treacherous slope in spot 104 at Hodgdon Meadows. Not suitable for a travel trailer.
Otherwise commend the staff for running a smooth show despite staffing shortages.

Stayed at site 75, 2 people. Site is sunny most of the day, 74 would have been better offering more shade but small site. Camp was quiet, no privacy between campsites but expected at Yosemite, level ground for tent. Overall, good campsite

So peaceful. Just inside the park entrance. Not far from the valley (25 min of Gorgeous driving). Nice relief from the congestion of Happy Isles. The rangers loved their job. Be prepared for a slanted sleep. Most of the sights were not level. FYI- look for the lovely 2 mile Carlon hike less than a mile from the ranger booth.

Nice campground, places quite close to each other but it was quiet. Toilets clean, easy access to the the valley. Would go again :)

The worst campsite ever!!! Sitting on a hill; very dangerous!

The ratio of campsites to bathrooms was abysmal. Each time I went, there was a line of at least ten people. I have never had that experience at any other campground. There was also a lack of signage that made navigating the campground difficult (specifically finding our campsite and finding the exit).

Potable water was only available at the restrooms and the faucets were directly above flushable sinks. So if you happen to drop your water bottle cap or jug valve it would go directly into the disgusting sink. Also, when I turned the faucet on it came out at an angle that sprayed onto me. Campsites were very close together which I was warned about. There was lots of firewood available from downed trees within a short walk. A saw would be helpful. Still, it was Yosemite, so it was awesome and worth it.
