What Guests Are Saying
Hodgdon Meadow Campground is a clean, well-maintained facility with friendly staff and a peaceful atmosphere, making it an excellent base for exploring Yosemite. Many campers appreciated the beautiful natural surroundings and the cleanliness of the restrooms. However, some sites are sloped and close together, which might impact comfort and privacy for certain visitors. Overall, it’s a highly recommended spot for campers looking to enjoy the beauty of Yosemite.

Great campsite but could be more accurate with how level the tent pads are.

Campground has lots of trees and shade. Can get dusty and no showers. I recommend bringing your own hand soap and thicker toilet paper for the flushing toilets. Clean water is available and individual bear lockers for each site! My family loved it!

I'm a long time camper at Hodgedon Meadows campground. The campground is old and in major need of refurbisment. It should be closed for 1 or two seasons and upgraded. Improved signage, road improvent, walk in site parking improvent, campsite boundry improvent and esspecially the outdated restrooms need upgraded. Hodgedon needs an upgrade like what Crane Flat just had. Crane flat can become the yearround campground until Hodgedon is reopened.

On very much Campsite‘s for RV‘s we‘ve seen Tents. So, we think the bookingsystem doesn‘t filter this option. The Campsite‘s are very oblique for the RV. But its near to the Yosemite Valley and the ambience in the middle of the forest is very beautyful.

Site 012 is on a steep downhill from the road. There is no “bottom” where it flattens out, so car camping is difficult. Also, the fire ring for the next spot is VERY close (so I was either bathed in a smoke plume or locked up in the car with windows up while the neighbors cooked dinner. Later, tent people further down the hill came thru multiple times next to the car with headlamps and woke me.

Site 004 was decent for car camping. Pretty level, though quite exposed. Not far from restrooms. Easy to drive in and out.

This campground wasn't too bad for a primitive site. It's made more for tent campers but we made do for the one night. There were some nice areas to poke around in and my wife said the bathrooms were very clean.

Not too bad of a walk down. We did have a problem with heat there as it didn’t seem to cool down as much as other parts of the park at night. But over all a great place.
