What Guests Are Saying
Hodgdon Meadow Campground is a clean, well-maintained facility with friendly staff and a peaceful atmosphere, making it an excellent base for exploring Yosemite. Many campers appreciated the beautiful natural surroundings and the cleanliness of the restrooms. However, some sites are sloped and close together, which might impact comfort and privacy for certain visitors. Overall, it’s a highly recommended spot for campers looking to enjoy the beauty of Yosemite.

While we were at Yosemite, my husband had a medical emergency and had to be transported to the hospital in Fresno. We abandoned our camper at the campground while he was being cared for. When I called the campground to tell them we might be delayed in removing the camper, the staff worked with us to find a solution. They were very helpful at a very trying time. Oh, and the campground was very nice too!

Spacious campsite, a good drive out of the way of the big attractions, but it's worth not being in the midst of crowds. The group campsites have plenty of bear boxes and there's running water in walking distance (recommend having refillable 1gal water jugs). Very grateful to the rangers for keeping things in decent condition. A note to future campers: this park is a treasure and I anticipate rangers will be increasingly spread thin, so please do everything you can to keep things clean for the next campers when you visit, deal with trash appropriately, respect the wildlife, stick to marked trails, etc!

All RV sites are uneven. Some blocking of 6” or more is needed.

Nice campground, clean bathrooms and about 45 minutes from Yosemite Valley. My only issue with Hogdon Meadows and other Yosemite campsites is the lack of showers. Its been this way for decades. You have to go to Curry Village and get a shower (and sometimes requires a wait), but sometimes you don't get a chance and can start smelling bad...
I do like the proximity to Rush Creek Lodge - you can get good coffee 2 minutes away from the campground.
