Beautiful campground. Spacious sites.
There is construction happening to maintain the campground but it did not affect our stay.

Campsite ideally located, very welcome, clean and safe place. An excellent way to discover Yosemite (you can do most of the trails from the campsite, with a return by free shuttle).
A very special thank you to the Yosemite rescue teams who took us out of Panorama trail following an ankle fracture with great efficiency and kindness!

The location we stayed at was perfect! It was super spacious and had enough privacy. Right at the entrance too! Overall great

Great host, family environment (more so than Upper Pines and equal to North Pines), even though it was by the road (site 28), we felt like we had privacy. Being close to Curry Village was great with little ones. Only reason it got a ding was because still no showers in 2024. Also, would be cool to see something at least a couple times a week in the amphitheater. There was nothing. Would be such a cozy thing for the kids in the evening.

-Staff were friendly and helpful.
-I really enjoyed the lower-profile fire rings because they allowed me to see the flames clearly and fully enjoy the fire.
-The evening program at Curry village was informative and provided a lot of valuable information, which was appreciated. However, it might be helpful to incorporate some engaging elements or interactive techniques to better capture and maintain the audience's attention throughout.
-The internet was slow or no access at all, and there was no Wi-Fi in the campgrounds. I understand it's a national park and nature, but people still expect these amenities.

Great clean campground, nice host, wonderful location. Can take a shower at Curry village nearby for $5, water easily accessible. Closest campground to curry village.

Love it - my favorite- was extremely wonderful to have this site open up. Been coming every year to the Valley for 54 years, and my parents and grandparents before me, and harder and harder to get campsites. We were so glad these opened up later - as we had no luck with reservations for 3 months and then got the river site. Stoked!! Made our vacation for sure to be next to the water. And was the headquarters for our groups boating all week. :) See you soon Yosemite!

I travelled there May 2024 - The only reason it's not a 5 star rating is because there was SO MUCH Road work being done! and the Generator Hours. 2 hour increments 3 different times a day. : ( Maybe they should had hook ups so to keep park quiet. At night, they need to be off by 7 p.m. but the camp fires are able to keep going til 10 p.m. The only reason this a problem is the valley floor is really warm and gets smoky easily which makes it pretty tough in a R.V. (no air with no generator)
The site I we were in, lower pines 037 and 038 were the most beautiful site ever! We had an unobstructed view of Half Dome. And partial shade too. Many sites didn't have much shade. Be prepared for very sparse cell reception, just an occasional text would come through. My carrier is Verizon.
I loved having our bikes with us. The park has bike racks everywhere to lock up. I rode to Vernal Falls and locked up bike to go hike. Same with Yosemite Falls and so on.
Getting a reservation is not easy! I just got lucky to get 2 nights !!!!
All in All it's well worth it! Yosemite is Amazing
