The campsite is beautifully situated with great views of the surrounding cliffs. Only negative thing is the amount of smoke from the campers’ fires during the afternoon and evening. One can barely breathe

We had site number 036 at Lower Pines, a nice site with lots of space. Lower Pines is beautifully situated near the river Merced. Too bad the nearest showers are at Curry Village. Slightly more/better sanitary facilities would be nice.

People should be more mindful of quiet hours and campfire time limits. No rangers around to enforce this and no one to contact

We booked last minute and surprised we were able to get a spot for a great price. We arrived after “closing”. Finding out spot was easy. Camp host was very nice. Come to find out he’s been the camp host for 22 yrs! Nice area to set up tent and beautiful views. Bear proof containers were large enough for all our toiletries and our food. Was close to a bus stop if you needed.
Didn’t like that there were no showers and nowhere to do dishes.
