Getting the campground included taking a day off work and several family members at the computer and lots of stress. But it was worth it! We stayed in lower pines and the view was amazing. We really only were there to sleep- too many things to do in the park. Bathrooms were clean and you have to go somewhere else to take a shower. For $5.00 they give u a towel. There is a bus pickup right at the campground.

First time staying in Lower Pines. We usually stay in North Pines. Great campground and the site we booked, site 41, was very nice. Partly shaded, large, and next to the river. I only wish we could have reserved it for more than one day.

Overall we had very good experience at the Lower Pines.
Only negative would be that the campers next to our site totally disregarded quiet time & camp fire hours despite our tent being only 10 feet away. One woman was asking her friends why people are sleeping early (~11:30pm). They came late and likely didn’t get reminded about the quiet time hours from the camp manager at the checkin kiosk. But it should be common sense since all the other camp sites were quiet and dark at the time.

We absolutely love Yosemite. The only complaint we had was the frozen terrible pizza in curry village, and no ice cream in the summer time. Those minor things could have been better. Besides those two things we enjoyed every relaxing minute. Thank you.

What else can one say? Yosemite is, undoubtedly, one of the most beautiful places on earth. Our plot was slightly, not so slightly shaded amongst redwoods. Not far from Cold Mist Trail and Curry Village, and of course, Merced river to keep cool. We would camp there again without hesitation

I somehow managed to book two nights at two different lower pines sites. I feel like the booking for these campsites isn't very fair. It was extremely hard to secure these and its easier for giant families with 10 computers ready to spam the website. I think a lottery system would be much more fair. Overall the campsites were very clean and the location is hard to beat. I did not like the crowds and noise at night though. The site was also not very tamed with it being mostly overgrown.
