several spots next to us occupied by parties with more then the allowed max of people and tents - party until late and use of generators.
NOT the experience you expect in a national park. Rangers and hosts did not interfere.

We have been vacationing at lower pines for many years. This year was different. The rangers allowed a few idiots to howl late into the night (past midnight). I personally watched as Rangers interrogated two young ladies but let these howling idiots disturb the peace unabated. Because they were on a first name basis, I got the impression the idiots were employed at the park and friends of the rangers.

We HATED this campground, it should be avoided at all costs. Don't go here.
Volunteer Jack is way too friendly and helpful, and everyone should just stay away...
...so we can get a reservation here whenever we want! π€ͺπ€£
Still reading? Hopefully not and more room for us!!
On ok, here's more deets:
Flushing toilets and running water but no soap so BYO. Fire pits allowed 5-10pm only. Generator can be run only certain times: 7-9am, 12-2pm, etc. Bear boxes at each site, which is standard. Merced River not far so plan your floaties...we brought our boogie boards!! Walking distance to Curry Village and the shuttle pickup is nearby!

Loved this campground! The spots were big and had a picnic table, bear cabinet and fire pit. The scenery was amazing and being next to the river was relaxing and gorgeous. All the rangers were very informative and nice. I would highly recommend staying here.

One of our favorite places to stay & enjoy being surrounded by nature. Campground is located near everything we enjoy exploring.

I love Yosemite and the campground host is always wonderful. If I could change one thing about Yosemite it would be the bathrooms in the campground. Updating them would be amazing but even something as simple as hand soap dispensers would go a long way!

Lower is a good spot if you have a bigger rv. Some of the site will fit up to 40ft
Lower is not as big a campground as upper so not as many people.
I think itβs quieter.
