The location of this campground could not be more ideal. The views surrounding the valley are incredible. My criticism is that the campground itself is pretty poorly maintained. Upon our arrival we noted that the burnt coals in the fire ring were about 60% to the top of the ring. The first night, a Forestry Ranger making his rounds commented that the grassy weeds were all the way up to the outside of the ring and we should be careful with our fire. If the ranger noted a potential hazard, shouldn't he be reporting this to the grounds crew to cut back the weeds? We pointed out that the debris in the fire pit was quite full upon our arrival. His comment was that they rely on the Scout volunteers to clean them out. Apparently that wasn't happening. The men's bathroom was pretty dirty. Since we are self-contained, we elected to use our own toilet facilities.
We love Yosemite and would go back again, but hope better care is given to this national treasure.

Everything was excellent except that you couldnβt just walk to the river right next to the campsite because they have it blocked off to let bushes grow. Also, at night the flashlights wouldnβt stop. A truck rolled into camp at 12:19 am. Kind of loud at night.

Breathtaking location! Lots of space. Good sized plots. Restrooms were simple but adequate. Youβll need something to wash dishes in. There were no washing bowls in any of the shops in the Valley and other guests got very upset when you just use the tap. Try a long life shopping bag from Camp Curry if you find yourself in this situation - theyβre 100% waterproof.

We love Yosemite and while itβs really difficult to get a campsite, we were so grateful to get one and we almost love everything about it. The reasons for 4 stars instead of 5: restrooms are old and people are slobs. Usually TP on the floor, but they do get cleaned daily. Rangers weβre nice, campground hosts very helpful. Views of Half Done and Glacier Point breathtaking.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful location. Our site was the only site with zero trees/shade, but the campground was beautiful
